I have just discovered, to my shame,

that I have never answered your letter 53728/36

of the 11th February or your reminder dated the

21st July. I enclose herewith a newspaper cutting

of the meeting of the University Congregation held

on 4th January, and invite your attention to my

concluding address as Chancellor. I will send you

a copy of the Committee's report as soon as it is

received, and it will almost certainly have a good

deal in it about the Engineering Faculty.
